The Nordica Hot Rod 60 is a mid-cost children's ski boot. This entry-level boot is geared toward getting your child used to the slopes. The flex of the Hot Rod 60 varies with the size (55 flex for size 18.0 - 21.5, 60 flex for size 22.0 - 24.5, 65 flex for size 25.0 - 28.0), but is generally low, so that the fit is sturdy.

The liner of this ski boot is Nordica's Comfort Fit JR liner, which puts the emphasis on a comfortable run, rather than high performance. The felt footbed of the Hot Rod 60 will also help to make the fit comfortable. This boot is a step down from thie higher cost Hot Rod 75 in that the Hot Rod 75 is geared toward intermediate skiers rather than beginners, has 75 flex (as opposed to 55-65 flex), easy entry system, Natural Foot Stance (NFS) last, and has the PFP Comfort Fit FSE Heat Ready insole, which provides a comfortable fit by conforming to your foot.
