Burton Fortress (2011)

The Burton Fortress (2011) is an upper mid-cost women's snowboard. Burton promotes this snowboard as the most high-performance, lightweight women's board they have ever made. This board is designed with a camber curvature, which is an arch formed between the board's contact points.

This design evenly distributes weight over the entire board, and helps to facilitate trick boarding. The Dragonfly core of the Fortress (2011) incorporates over five hundred individual laminations, each oriented within the core to create a strong yet light design. The Channel feature of this board focuses power through a central connection that distributes energy evenly (for added rebound), and also allows you to micro-adjust your stance width and angles. The 2011 model of the Fortress is a step up from previous models in that it has the Lightning Bolts Hi-Voltage technology. This technology consists of energy transfer strands woven into the fiberglass both above and below the board's core, a design which makes for more effortless, precise control of your board.
