Burton Custom Flying V (2011)
$530.00
Released October, 2010
The Pros:This board is super forgiving due to its flying v shape, and rides best in powder. i have taken it out in the backcountry (revelstoke) and it performs awesome, VERY LIGHT, a big plus. Super light which makes it great for tricks and hiking. Est binding system keeps the board light, but binding placement is very sensitive due to the rocker shape, if you dont find the "zone" than the flying v shape can work against you.
The Cons:Stability is compromised at high speed due to the lack of effective edge on the nose and tail. (groomer terrain). Its flex is very mellow, comparable to lower end models, so freeriders looking for stiffness beware.

It is a blend of both camber and rocker performance, with a rocker between and outside your feet and sublte camber zones throughout the underside of the board for edge control and power through turns. The Frostbite Edges are edges beneath the bindings that stick out a bit to hold the edges on hard, icy conditions, while still remaining forgiving in softer conditions. Lightning Bolts are energy transfer strands woven into the fiberglass that radiate outward from beneath your feet sending your thoughts into actions.
